Preparing and writing a business case is a core business skill.
Well-prepared business cases are essential to effectively present the financial and business consequences for a course of action.
Building a Business Case will assist managers to prepare compelling, logical and factual business cases usng appropriate financial analysis.

Those who have to prepare business cases to substantiate budgets, obtain approval for projects or justify items of capital expenditure.
TRAINING STRUCTURE
This programme is presented by accredited trainers, experienced and qualified in corporate management and skill development training. It is highly interactive and supportive. It involves case studies as a method of learning, individual practice and group exercises. There will be on-going feedback and support.

• Understand the components of an overall business case
• Choose the most appropriate financial analysis to include in a business case, including best and worst scenarios
• Identify benefits to compare with costs
• Complete a cost/benefit study
• Calculate payback, cash flow rate of return, accounting rate of return, net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR) of a project
• Understand the problems and limitations of discounted cash flows
• Consider the finance options for the proposed investment, including leasing versus buying, the
use of work capital, and the necessity for cash budgeting
• Present the business case
